In short: We collect only what's needed to make bisbis work. We don't sell your data. Your concert memories are yours.

1. Who We Are

bisbis ("we", "our", "us") is a concert journaling app that helps you track, share, and relive your live music experiences. The app is operated by bisbis, based in the Netherlands.

2. What We Collect

When you use bisbis, we collect:

Account information: Your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via Google Sign-In.
Concert logs: Venue, date, lineup, ratings, and reviews you choose to log.
Photos: Images you upload to your concert logs, including EXIF metadata (date, time, GPS location) to help match photos to shows.
Social connections: Your friend list and tagged attendees for shared experiences.
Device information: Basic device type and OS version for debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

Provide and improve the bisbis app experience.
Match your photos to concerts using date and location metadata.
Show you your friends' concert activity in the social feed.
Send you relevant notifications (if you opt in).

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services (Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication). All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data may be shared in the following limited cases:

With your friends: Concert logs, reviews, and photos you choose to share are visible to your bisbis friends.
Service providers: We use Google Firebase for infrastructure. Google's privacy policy applies to their services.
Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. Photo Metadata (EXIF Data)

When you upload photos, we may read EXIF metadata (date, time, GPS coordinates) to automatically match photos to the correct show. This data is processed on your device and our servers, and is not shared with other users. GPS coordinates are only used for venue matching and are not displayed publicly.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

Access your personal data.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your account and all associated data.
Export your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent at any time.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

bisbis is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
